Counselling and Psychotherapy

A very warm welcome to my Counselling and Psychotherapy practice based on the south side of Cambridge

Welcome. Home Headshot 3

Taking the step towards finding a Counsellor/Psychotherapist is a courageous one. As an experienced BACP Registered and Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist, I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment where you can talk about any difficulties you may be experiencing in your life. My practice is collaborative, encouraging, practical, hopeful and tailored to the individual. Over the past 18 years working with adults in the NHS, GP Surgeries, a local counselling agency and private practice, I have helped many people explore their thoughts and feelings and find a way through their difficulties. I work with individuals with a wide range of issues, and offer short, medium and long-term counselling and psychotherapy.

I meet with people in-person at my practice based on the south side of Cambridge, easily accessible from villages such as Sawston and towns such as Haverhill, Royston and Saffron Walden. I also offer online sessions via Zoom, depending on client preference.

Perhaps you are experiencing difficulties due to specific life events such as a bereavement, job loss, relationship breakdown, retirement, mid-life crisis, bullying, trauma, abuse, accident or illness? Maybe you are feeling some of the following: anxious, depressed, panicky, lacking in self-confidence or self-esteem, angry, lonely, tired all the time, lost, confused, stressed, troubled by past or present relationships, stuck in certain behaviours and thought patterns you would like to move away from or generally dissatisfied but not necessarily sure what about?

There are many reasons why individuals seek therapy and the list above is by no means exhaustive. If you are feeling unsure or hesitant about asking for help, you are not alone. Seeking support from a Counsellor/Psychotherapist may seem an immense undertaking especially if you’ve tried for many years to deal with issues yourself or have opened up before to people and not felt heard or understood. Feelings of fear and shame can also be difficult to overcome in seeking help. Many people find that engaging with talking therapy provides immense benefits, not least a deeper understanding of themselves and greater satisfaction and contentment in life and relationships.
